The successful conclusion of Canada Innovation and Entrepreneurship Roadshow

On November 13th, the successful conclusion of Canada Innovation and Entrepreneurship Roadshow, organized by Homevalley Capital, marked a momentous occasion in Shanghai.

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including representatives from the Consulate General of Canada in Shanghai, the Yangpu Overseas High-level Talent Service Center, Yangpu District Science and Technology Commission, Yangpu District Overseas Chinese Federation, Yangpu District Investment Promotion Office, China Entrepreneurship Public Training Base, and more than 20 investment institutions. The attendees gathered for an insightful and interactive experience.

The Chairman of Homevalley Capital, Qiu Jian, extended a warm welcome to the audience, highlighting the genesis of the event from a conversation with friends in Vancouver. He emphasized the need to shift focus from talent acquisition in Silicon Valley to recognizing the plethora of excellent projects and entrepreneurs in Canada. Mr. Qiu shared his inspiring vision, urging participants not to miss the second half of China's rapid development, fostering more and stronger BAT (Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent) companies.

Deputy Director Jiang Ye introduced the hardware and software facilities of the Entrepreneurship Base, emphasizing its commitment to providing a platform for entrepreneurs to access quality resources. He noted the extension of support from local entrepreneurs to the internationalization of talent and entrepreneurs, expressing best wishes for the success of the event.

Ian Hand, Director of SFU Innovation Incubator, took the stage and immediately engaged the audience by capturing a group photo for commemoration. He then highlighted the collaborations between SFU INNOVATES & Venture Labs and major enterprises and universities. Additionally, he shared Canada's favorable new policies for entrepreneurs and expressed hope for close collaboration between universities on both sides.

Li Zhaohui, General Manager of the Canada-China Business Acceleration Network, thanked the previous speakers for their insightful speeches. He emphasized the network's dedication to facilitating connections between Canadian entrepreneurs and the Chinese market, highlighting the complementarity between the two nations. He expressed confidence that collaboration would lead to brilliant outcomes, truly assisting entrepreneurs from 0 to 1.

In closing, Director Tan Ming explained the favorable policies in Yangpu for overseas talent entrepreneurship. He outlined the support provided, including up to 1 million RMB in startup capital, a maximum loan amount of 5 million RMB, and the potential to waive up to 3.5 million RMB in listing-related expenses. He also highlighted various benefits for entrepreneurs and their families, encouraging global high-level talent to join Yangpu for mutual development.

Roadshow Segment

Following the speeches, the roadshow segment featured presentations from innovative projects, providing a platform for mutual interaction and exploration.

Networking and Project Matching Session

The event concluded with a tea break, allowing participants to engage in networking and explore potential collaborations between projects and investors.

Collaboration is key, and this edition of the Canada Innovation and Entrepreneurship Roadshow in Shanghai not only showcased high-tech innovation projects but also served as a bridge for Sino-Canadian friendship and exchange. VANCOUVER, July 31— The third edition of the Yangpu "Entrepreneurship Star" Global Competition reached a milestone with the Vancouver semi-finals hosted at SFU's VentureLab. The event, supported by SFU VentureLab and C2CAN, showcased an impressive array of cutting-edge entrepreneurial projects spanning new energy, new materials, and intelligent technology.

The competition kicked off with an electrifying round of presentations, as participating projects showcased their innovation and potential. Employing a closed-door roadshow format, the Vancouver semi-finals boasted a distinguished panel of judges and experts, including Ian Hand, CEO of SFU VentureLab, Li Zhaohui, General Manager of CCCIC Sino-Canada Clean Technology Innovation Center, Li Zhong, Computer Science and Technology Expert at SFU VentureLab, market expert Virgina Balcom, and Qiu Jian, founder of  Homevalley Capital.

After a fierce competition, six projects emerged as finalists, with Elix wireless charging stations, ViewsIQ, and Smart Pillbox claiming the top three spots in the Vancouver division.

The culmination of the event was marked by a brief yet momentous award ceremony. The competition judges presented certificates to the winning teams, recognizing their outstanding achievements.

"Vancouver's projects showcase a remarkable level of maturity, having surpassed their initial startup phases and established solid market foundations. Many are poised to venture into the Chinese market. Gui Xin Valley is committed to actively supporting and collaborating with these projects as they navigate expansion and implementation," commented Qiu Jian, founder of Homevalley Capital, in reflection of the competition.

As the entrepreneurial fervor continues, the "Entrepreneurship Star" is set to make its next stop in Toronto on August 4. Follow Homevalley Capital's journey as they traverse overseas divisions, providing a firsthand experience of the global entrepreneurial landscape.

Homevalley Capital study tour program with EOI International Business School

On March 5th, Homevalley Capital welcomed a delegation of students from another well-known overseas business school - EOI International Business School in Spain.

EOI International Business School is one of the top five business schools in Spain and the first business school in Spain.

Mr. Qiu Jian, Chairman of Homevalley Capital, warmly welcomed the arrival of the students and briefly introduced Homevalley Capital.

During the visit, Associate Professor Nikola Zivlak from Lyon Business School in France interpreted current business and technological development and future prospects on site.

After listening to Nikola Zivlak's sharing, EOI International Business School students expressed their opinions and had a discussion. One of the students also learned about the relevant information about settling in Homevalley Capital on the spot and planned to start his entrepreneurial story here.

On the afternoon of April 9th, Homevalley Capital welcomed a delegation of UCJC Business School students from Spain.

Mr. Qiu Jian, Chairman of Homevalley Capital, warmly welcomed the arrival of the students and briefly introduced Homevalley Capital.

In order to give the students a deeper understanding of the innovation and entrepreneurship market, representatives from four settled enterprises from Homevalley Capital shared their entrepreneurial stories, and exchanged various insights on the entrepreneurial journey with UCJC Business School students.

By this visit and in-depth communication, students from UCJC Business School hope that Homevalley Capital will continue to provide more opportunities and better assistance for more  entrepreneurs.

In April, Homevalley Capital welcomed the delegation of UCJC Business School students from Spain for a second study tour. Mr. Qiu Jian, Chairman of Homevalley Capital, warmly welcomed them.

Seeing young and fresh faces reappearing in Homevalley Capital, Mr. Qiu Jian was inspired by everyone's enthusiasm. He invited the students to visit the office environment of Homevalley Capital and introduced the operation mode of Homevalley Capital.

Today's visit not only brings Homevalley Capital closer to overseas universities, but also gives  overseas students a good opportunity to know a real company. Homevalley Capital welcomes more high-level talents from all over the world.

Homevalley Capital study tour program with ESIC Business School

On May 31st, Homevalley Capital welcomed a delegation of students from the Spanish ESIC Business School , and Mr. Qiu Jian, Chairman of Homevalley Capital, warmly welcomed them.

ESIC Business School is a well-known private business school in Spain. It has been named the 14th best business school in Europe by American Economics magazine.

Ms. Wang Kun, Vice President of Homevalley Capital, introduced the operation mode and talent development supporting environment of Homevalley Capital to everyone.

Meanwhile, Mr. Qiu Jian, Chairman of Homevalley Capital, and three entrepreneurs with  entrepreneurship backgrounds, shared their entrepreneurial stories and experiences with the students, and discussed the opportunities and challenges of innovation and entrepreneurship in the current environment.

The successful conclusion of today's visit has once again brought Homevalley Capital closer to overseas universities.

Homevalley Capital study tour program with Hamburg University

On the afternoon of October 18, representatives of teachers and students from Hamburg University in Germany visited Homevalley Capital.

They first visited the joint office of Homevalley Capital. During the visit, the students asked for detailed information on incubation conditions, support policies, and other aspects.

Then, Mark, a teacher from the Department of Business Administration at Hamburg Business School , gave a speech. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to visit and exchange ideas at Homevalley Capital. He also thanked the staff for their enthusiastic explanations. He looked forward to bringing his students to Homevalley Capital for exchange and learning again in the future.

Mr. Qiu Jian, founder of Homevalley Capital, was invited by visiting representatives to introduce the founding process, scope of partners, and partners of Homevalley Capital. He also gave a detailed introduction to the six business sectors of Homevalley Capital and outlined the company's future plans.
